Frank and Helen's ancestors

Helen's mother's name was Laura Andreason. She was the daughter of Ole Andreason and Anna Anderson. Laura was born in Christinia, Oslo, Norway on October 26, 1884. She came to Utah at the age of six with her mother, father and five brothers and sisters. Her father Thomas Edward Chatwin was born in Santaquin, Utah on the 27th of September, 1882. His father was William Chatwin and his mother Irene Carter. Frank, who is really Charles Frank, was named after his father and his mother's father. Charles Frank's father was Frank Taylor, the son of Frank Melvin Taylor and Rebecca Burgess. Frank Taylor was born on February 15, 1880 in Silver Reef, Utah. Charles Frank's mother was Rosa Henrietta Hanks, the daughter of Charles Hanks and Auxelena Hermann. She was born on May 7, 1882 in Challis, Idaho. Helen's parents Laura and Tom met in Santaquin and were married in Nephi. They lived in Mammoth and Santaquin. Frank's parents Rosa and Frank met in Eureka and were married in Salt Lake City. They lived in Eureka, though Charles Frank was born in Salem at his grandparents home. Frank lived in Eureka and Helen over the mountain in Mammoth. They fell in love in junior high...Helen was 12 and Frank 14. They were married in Salt Lake City on April 22, 1936 and lived in Eureka, Utah, Winnemucca, Nevada and Portland, Oregon before settling in Salt Lake City about 1941.

Frank and Helen's kids

One day mother told me that she and dad had been talking and they were so happy that their children loved each other. So true! We do love each other and this will be a way to enhance that love. We know that Kathy just turned 60 and her family had a great surprise party for her. We need all the happy surprises possible when we reach those amazing age milestones. Tom called me last week saying he was driving to Utah to work on the cabin. Later he called looking for dress shoes since he had forgotten his. Last I talked to him was to direct him to Chas' and Kathy's since Chas had the right size feet. Hope Tom isn't buried in the snow by the cabin! Then I believe Steve and Marci are about to move into the manoir. That is a wonderful accomplishment. So with this new communication tool we will know more about each other, and about the descendants of Frank and Helen. It will make them, Frank and Helen, and their descendants, so happy. Some happy news from the Halls is that Jon and Wendee will be marrying on the 27th of May. We're so glad to have Wendee in our family. Also on the plus side, Charles has had 2 of the 6 (or so) chemo treatments for his leukemia/lymphoma and he has had a few days this time of feeling somewhat well. He has 3 days of treatment monthly, and for 10-15 days after the side effects are yucky. But he's a fighter and so he will keep trying to get better.
